Our story
A proper laundry for Macroom.
Washateria opened on Railway View in September 2026. We wanted Macroom to have a laundry that's a pleasure to walk into: a bright, spotless shop with big commercial machines, fresh coffee and comfy sofas to sink into while your wash goes round.
We even asked our customers which hours suited them. Staying open until 9pm won the vote, so that's what we did.
Support local, keep Macroom fresh.

Reviews
Macroom's verdict so far.
Absolutely great service! The staff are extremely helpful. The wash, dry and fold service is fantastic if you're like me and let the washing pile up, then suddenly find yourself needing clothes!
I went in again today with a load of washing and was able to sit down, relax and read my book while everything was washed and dried. What would have taken me hours at home took me just over an hour there.
This place is a gem! Highly recommend!
I used Washateria for the first time this week as my washing machine is out of action. Everything was washed and dried in less than two days. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable. Fantastic service and will use again.
What a lovely place, spotless clean, cosy, so different to the usual laundries. Beautiful.
